Obituary for Albert Lathlin

Albert Lathlin
Albert (Robbie) Lathlin was born Saturday, January 14, 1967 in The Pas, Manitoba to Matilda and Antoine Lathlin. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2018 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 51 years.
Albert (Robbie) graduated from Joe A. Ross School in 1994. He received his Social Work Certificate in 1996 from the University of Manitoba.
Albert (Robbie) married Florence L. Halcrow on June 7, 1991. Although they went their separate ways, Florence remained mother to their children, sister to his siblings and daughter to Antoine and Matilda.
Before moving his family to Winnipeg, Albert (Robbie) worked at the Kikiwak Inn.
In his younger days, Rob played minor hockey. Mom and Dad travelled endless miles to support him while he participated in tournaments. He also enjoyed playing and later coaching soccer. He coached the OCN Girls Scorpions. Everyone remembers dancing with Robbie and he loved all kinds of music; old time, country and modern rock. His favourite band was Kiss.
Albert was a great, caring and giving person. His passion was known as being a great, loving father to all his children - adopted and foster children. He took his children to football games and other activities. He always joked around and was a good natured prankster. He supported all his kids and was always proud of their successes.
Albert (Robbie) was a good storyteller that made the family laugh and remember the good times.
When Albert (Robbie) first found out he was going on dialysis his request was for family members not to wear black at his funeral. He didn’t want his family and friends bogged down with sadness as he was no longer suffering, and that “I’ll be dancing in the sky.”
Albert (Robbie) will be deeply missed.
Albert (Robbie) is survived by his parents Antoine and Matilda (nee Cowley) Lathlin; siblings Randy Lathlin, Dennis (Janine) Lathlin, Lisa (Jerry) Lathlin; children Albert (Jay) Halcrow, Felicia (Juan) Lathlin, Denny (Patti) Lathlin, Karen Halcrow, Logan Halcrow, Breanna Halcrow; adopted children Autumn Spotted Eagle, Nathan Spotted Eagle, Asannie Starr, Spotted Eagle, Kelly McConachy, Sara McConachy, Tanisha McConachy, Ryan McConachy; grandchildren Griffin Leigh, Sophie Halcrow, Ivy Halcrow, Kylie Halcrow, Miguel Lathlin, Reina Lathlin, Izel Lathlin, Juan Jr. Romero, Tony Sinclair, Hendricks Jack, Mileena Jack; chapan Douglas Lathlin; paternal aunts and uncles Annabelle Mather, Ellen Jane Beardy, Lazarus (Carol) Lathlin, Philip (Marjorie) Lathlin, Miriam (George) French, Martha (Simon) Bignell, Robert (Mabel) Lathlin; maternal aunts and uncles Agnes Kirkness, Richard (Diane) Cowley, Blanche (Dean) Cowley-Head; Steven (Roz) Cowley, Elaine (Allen) Sutherland, Bev (Howard) Wilson, Marlene Cowley, Agnes Cowley; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and Godchildren.

Lathlin, Christina McKay; maternal uncles Ernest Robert Cowley, Walter Cowley, Sydney Kirkness; mother-in-law Christina Crate.
